John Kinchington: Parent Governor

I’m John Kinchington, father to a daughter and son at Cheam Fields; I became a parent governor in autumn 2018 as I want to help maintain the school on its current path and to drive it forward for future generations of children to enjoy and excel in their education.
Through my experience as a duty manager for London Underground, I have gained the knowledge that will allow me to ensure that existing policies and procedures are followed and improved upon where necessary for the benefit of pupils, parents and staff.

Mr Ed Laccohee: Co-opted Governor

I am a local businessmen and employer of young people. I became a Governor as I wanted to fully understand the educational process, the structure and experience that young people will have embraced prior to working with companies like mine.

Being a governor at Cheam Fields Primary Academy is a privilege. I hope that the skills I bring to the board are constructive and helpful towards the forward thinking nature of the school.

Kathryn O'Brien Skerry: Parent Governor

I am parent governor at Cheam Field’s Primary Academy. My background is in formal and informal education, particularly in maths and the sciences. I have lived and worked in Scotland, England and the USA and moved to the local area four years ago. I currently work at the Science Museum in London and run science clubs for a wide range of children. In my spare time I sing with a local women's choir.

Mrs Rachel Townsend: Staff Governor

I am assistant headteacher, inclusion lead, Milepost 3 lead and the staff governor for Cheam Fields. I have been teaching for over 10 years and have worked at Cheam Fields for over three of these. I feel privileged to be the voice for the staff and to work with the other governors to help further develop our school.
